I'm going to see if I can't DL this anime soon and watch some of it. We'll add it to the this of future consideration (we're going by categories, the current one being "humans, no magic powers," so an appropriate category will need to be found.)

Wow--the Doctor from Yami no Matsuei would win on creepy factor alone. I've never seen Tokyo Babylon/X before, so I couldn't say that--but of course my seeing it means nothing to it being included (I may go watch it just to know, anyway.)

We'll keep these in mind. Thanks for volunteering options. Feel free to add more if you can think of any.

We're breaking out the non-human battles now, right? I'm all for Aisha Clanclan (Outlaw Star) vs Ahiru (Princess Tutu). Would Aisha go all cat-girl on Duck, or would ballet tame the savage beast?
Another good battle would involve Canti (FLCL) and Xephon (RahXephon) (Yes, they're both sentient! Sort of...)
And while I'm on this roll... Ein (Cowboy Bebop) vs Kuroneko-sama (Trigun). That would be hilarious. And really, really cute. And probably very bloody.
Oh! And if you wanna get really interesting (ant nitpicky), CC (Code Geass) vs ... Heh, you know what would be interesting? CC vs. Eva 00. I think my money would be on CC, though. I dunno... there's gotta be somebody more appropriate for CC to battle against. Nothing comes to mind, though... OH! A Proxy! The smaller one... yeah... Those crazy god-things from Ergo Proxy. Yes! That's my ultimate suggestion: CC vs Proxy. That would be a killer fight among non-human beings of debatable morality and origin.

Hey! I've got a suggestion, but not for specific characters.
How about we have battles in which the contest is not combat? I saw that someone had a "doctor" battle suggestion -- so for example, they could see how well they could treat patients, or how many in a day at the worst hospital in town. Or, between two characters famous for cooking skillz...or perhaps for notorious UNcooking skillz XD, a cooking contest. You get the idea; more variety of competition types is my vote! :D

It might be fun to put Yuri from KKM against L from Death Note because they're both very much like JUSTICE, right?

And I think it would be fun to put Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist vs Vash from Trigun because, really, they both wear red coats, have metal arms, blonde hair and more. The big difference is that Vash is way tall and Ed is way short. That's a nice reason to start up a battle.

To add on to that, as far as I know, Mion, Rika, and possibly Satoko probably WOULDN'T fit into the killers part so... Shion, Rena, and Keiichi if males are considered moe, for that role.

Um, unless there has been a new development in the manga as or recently (or possibly just a reference w/ Code Geass that I don't get--haven't seen that show, I'm afraid), then Kira isn't a "real" person by definition. It's the illusion of a person who is killing all the people. So are you talking specifically of Raito (Light)? Or of another character that I'm not aware of?

Also, Don Kanonji vs. Hercule. Possibly in a pose-off, possibly in a regular fight. Either way, hilarity ensues!

Hm, I can't remember if Happosai actually survived his battle with Chi earlier. Though, given the amount of stock-character perverts in anime, I'm sure lots of fun could be had with this one. Another possibility could be a battle between perverted writers? Jiraiya vs Shigure (Fruits Basket)?

ZOMG I SECOND THE MOTION FOR A PERVERT WRITER BATTLE. Actually... a few friends and I have pondered what would happen if you ever put Vash, Jiraiya and Shigure in a room with one pretty girl. That could be a pretty ridiculous three-way battle.

Kurz Webber (FMP). Definitely. I'd suggest Happosai, but he's already been used. Hideki (Chobits), because while he isn't exactly a pervert... well... the internet is for porn. Gene Starwind (Outlaw Star)? Maybe... he's the kind of smooth taker that never actually gets laid. Ryouji Kaji (Eva), only he really does get laid, so that probably puts him out. Etoooo.... anoooo... I'll let you know if I come up with more. :D

Kaji, aka Mr. Scruffy, I think has been used before. Though, as long as they haven't died, I don't think it'll be a problem reusing them for something.

Miroku could be used (from Inuyasha). It's really odd b/c there is usually always at least a side character from any anime series that gets the role of pervert. Oh, you could have the entire Genshiken club team up as one massive perversion ('cause, while none of them are like super perverts, they all have hentai and the like anime/video games).

I'll try and brainstorm as well and come up with some more. Maybe what we can do is break them up into different teams and have an obstacle course of perversion, possibly lasting several weeks w/ a team eliminated each week.

Actually that concept could be expanded in general. Have everyone contribute one of their favorite characters (no repeats) and the mods can split them into groups. Then we can have an "obstacle course" of challenges and everyone can vote on the team that would win for the challenge that week. Of the loser, one person is eliminated, so it would be possible that Team "A" (though a more clever name would apply to each team) would be made of only 1 person and Team "B" could be make of 10, or something along those lines.

So a ongoing team challenge. Now I want [info]lias to get home so I can ask him about that. What do you think?

The team concept is decidedly more well-defined than the all-out (and frequently SD) Brawl of the Perverts that I had in mind... sounds like a good idea. Also, although I haven't seen the anime, Kentaro Oe from Golden Boy would probably fit the bill pretty well.

[info]lias and I have both been super crazy in RL as of late, hence why our updating has failed to be consistent as of late. However, I'm going to try and get on top of things again (at least until [info]lias can get back to his normally scheduled plans)--so I was thinking of doing a team pervert battle for this coming week, or the week after. But that involves some digging of perverts, finding pictures & good information about them, and then putting them on "equal" teams. So hopefully I'll be able to acccomplish that within the next few days. If you have any links, pictures, etc that you'd like to send my way, or even just suggestions, that would be awesome!

K, I've got a few ideas:
Battle Reality Warping Demi-God: Suzumiya Haruhi vs Sasshi (Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade). Both have the ability to shape the world. Neither have any sense of responsibility or the magnitude of their own importance. Both have twisted priorities. Both get tag-along friends into hilarious amounts of trouble. I think we have a quality battle here.
Battle Angsty Transformer: Kyou (Furuba) vs Gaara (Naruto). Because, seriously - we need some kind of battle angst. And the most obvious demonstration of angst in anime is piloting a giant mecha. Which is so cliche. So the obvious best choice is angsty boys who turn into fearsome monsters thereby frightening away friends and family!
Battle Hot Chick You'd Never Want to Have As Your Girlfriend: Chidori (FMP!) vs Sakura (Naruto). For this one, I think in order for it to be fair we'd have to take Chidori from FMP! and Fumoffu only (not TSR), and Sakura from Shippuden. Chidori's character gets too serious in TSR, and Sakura's just a kid in the pre-timejump Narutoverse.

Haruhi is one of my favorite characters and we had put her in one of those "god like" categories b/c she basically forms reality around her. Whatever she says, happens. But what you said of this character sound very promising in a good battle and I'll definitely pass it on to [info]lias for high priority possibility.

All of these are really good possibilities actually, I'll start a discussion about it.

I thought long and hard about somebody, anybody who could possibly go up against Suzumiya Haruhi in a legitimate battle... and I finally realized that Imamiya Satoshi fit the bill. In fact, if we have that battle, I might even vote for him. He's that good.
Ah, on the subject of MoHS, did you know that the guy who does the voice of Kyon also does the voice of Hideki in Chobits? It's so appropriate! Apparently Tomokazu Sugita really enjoys playing the roles of men loved by god-like ladies.

It's an extreme comedy. Like, Nabeshin (director of Excel Saga) created it. It's brillantly funny, has been going over really well in our club. And with everything Nabeshin directs, is full of mockery and parody.

I realized there were two female knights that I kept implicitly comparing in my mind. Saber from fate/stay night (who I know precious little else about I'm afraid) and Chris Lightfellow from Suikoden III. Although, I don't know if video game characters are allowed, but Chris is also in the manga based on that game.

I realized something else -- you know how many robot girls that are out there? Let's see, I'm not even naming most of them I bet --

- Main char of Ghost in the Shell (not so familiar with this show)
- KOS-MOS from Xenosaga (a video game but a not very good anime was made from it)
(- T-Elos if we want to include her counterpart?)
- Aigis from Persona 3 (again a video game...)
- Miyu from My-HiME

Probably lots of others I don't know or forgot about.
